We have some good news. Our latest product innovation has finally arrived, and the name says it all: ROUGH AIR. With numerous unique features, it's the perfect complement to our existing rough papers. Here are the key features:

  • A beautiful rough surface, slightly less rough than our EXTRAROUGH.
  • 1.5 times the volume (AIR), making it significantly more voluminous than any other rough surfaces from Metapaper.
  • Extremely good opacity. A 90 gsm ROUGH AIR, for example, has the same opacity as a standard 100 gsm natural paper, or even slightly better.
  • The most attractive price-wise.
  • Thanks to its high volume, you can also use a lower grammage. For example, instead of EXTRAROUGH 350 gsm, you can use ROUGH AIR 300 gsm.
  • Available in two interesting intermediate shades: White-Warmwhite and White-Coldwhite in grammages of 90 gsm, 100 gsm, 120 gsm, 150 gsm, 240 gsm, and 300 gsm.
  • Our first paper specifically designed for inkjet printing, with fantastic results on the Canon iX or Fuji. Of course, as always, suitable for all printing processes: Riso, Letterpress, Indigo, Offset - everything is possible.

From our point of view, ROUGH AIR is the ideal paper for both small and large print runs: whether it's for independent magazines, books, brochures, etc. It's also perfect for cards and envelopes (with high opacity). 2024 is the year of change and new beginnings at Metapaper: We are delighted to introduce Lessebo from Sweden as our factory partner for the new Metapaper COLORS.
